When people start their blogs, they often expect instant traffic and links. Clients have been asking me how come their blog is not showing up in the search engines. The truth is it takes time.

Even with this blog, that I started 2 weeks ago, its taking some time.

For the first time, I looked closely at the Dashboard in Wordpress 2.5 and it had some very good advice:

Blogging is not a race, neither is life. Everyone and every blog takes their own time to get to where they want to be. So don’t fret. Take the time and network and read other people’s blogs. As you get the hang of it and when people relate to your posts, then the links will come.
